Daddy took a week off from work to prepare for the big transition ahead both at work and with baby Andy on his way this summer. We had a great week doing all kinds of things from the zoo to farm life. We even decided to do our first overnight camping. Considering Mommy is pregnant and it was a bit chilly in a tent with at two year old,... we had a great time! We enjoyed being able to get to know some other families better and just being out in the wide outdoors was very refreshing.
Suzy absolutely loved the tent. Is anyone surprised?
We had a lot of fun building new friendships.
After a failed attempt to get Suzy to go to sleep around 7:30, we finally gave in and just let her hang out by the fire until it got dark. The smores were an extra added little bonus.
Suzy announced at 4:00 am, "I all done sleeping, Mommy." Groan. She did finally fall back to sleep for a few hours, but we were all pretty sleepy (and cold) the next morning.
We had an extra tent and the kids used it for their play tent.
