Best... Husband... EVER!

When I first bought my digital camera after Popa died, I joined an online community to figure out how to use it. I'll never forget a post of a little girl about Suzy's age with a rainbow sucker in front of a really cool blue door of some sort. There was a link to the photographer, Amy Rose-King. I immediately fell in love with her style and how her colors just "popped". Plus, her little girl is about Suzy's age and from her blog, they seem very similar in spunkiness.

When I first figured out how to use Google Reader, she was my first entry. Every time she would post, I was all, "Hey, Rob! Amy Rose posted!" He quickly began to tease me about having a "crush" on Amy Rose. So, I have followed her blog for a while and she now has a little guy just behind Andy. Though I've never met her, I adore her blog and the photos of her little ones. I've sent her a few emails and we agreed that maybe we would some day meet up.

Today, she posted and has changed the view of her blog a bit. I was curious and started to look around. Come to find out, she's selling some of her actions. She's so sweet, she actually has several tutorials out in the internet world for free which I also have. I love them. Anyhow, I IM Rob about them and he asks me how much they are. I get no further response and assume he's put it in his Christmas Wish hat or something. To my surprise, HE BOUGHT THEM FOR ME! What a guy. ;) I came home from the Y (in which I'm back up to 3 miles in 34 min... woohoo!) and there was a love note on my computer stating that I had new actions.

I started to play a little bit, and MY CRUSH CALLED ME! I soooo wish I could have recorded the phone call. Amy Rose, I'm not really that giddy nervous in real life. I was totally taken off guard. Honestly, I know from her blog that she's just a gal who has the same challenges of many of us. I can speak with CEOs and a room full of a 100 of my therapy peers. However, when someone I totally admire for something I'm clueless on, I totally become a chatteroo. Rob was laughing so hard at me when I hung up. It was so funny some of the things he teased me about,
"So, how is Amy Rose?"
"What did she say?"
"Did she say mention anything about me at all?"
"Is she single?"
"Did she check yes or no?"
"Does she have any friends?"
"How long are you gonna wait to call her back? A day? Two days?"
A total razz that the total spazz on the phone completely deserved. ;) I hope someday we actually can meet up and she'll see I'm not really that much of a nervous goon. But, then, maybe I would be... hee hee.

Anyhow, here are a few of my really quick plays with some of the actions. I'm looking forward to LOTS more nap time when I can just ooh and ahh over my kids and the transformations these will allow me to do. The only bad part, is that I have a lot of hours ahead of me now as I re-work so many of my favorite photos.

Before:
After: "Taste the rainbow"
Before:
After: Blueberry + Taste the Rainbow + Skin Smooth (ignore the rough edit of the halo around her hair.... I did mention it was a rough edit, right?)

After: Taste the Rainbow
I'm so excited for tomorrow. We are heading to Sweet Berry with our small group and I can't wait to run some of these actions on our Fall photos. Oh, please, please, please, tell me they still have that wonderful Zinia patch and they watered it through the drought! So excited!
