We had a very blessed and Merry Christmas this year. I think the next decade or so will be so much fun as the kids realize what Christmas is all about and the joy of Christmas traditions become realities for them. We began the morning with stockings. Suzy was very happy to help Andy find the trains Santa left for him in his stocking. She was thrilled with all the candy and jewelry he left for her.

Grammy and Popop came over in the morning to read the Christmas story again and open more gifts and eat some Christmas Tea Ring.

Suzy literally dove into the unwrapping of presents. She had an absolute ball. It was so fun to see the excitement through her eyes.

Andy, well, he was just himself. All smiles and not really concerned with the chaos surrounding him.

Suzy and I had matching jammies. I tried to talk Rob into matching with Andy, but, um.. no. Don't you think he'd look cute with reindeer on his jammies?

Did Santa bring the famed "purple paper" wrapped doll? Why yes, yes, he did. It was actually purple dull paper with shiny cellophane tissue paper on top. Hey, it was the best he could find. I loved Ashley's suggestion, however, that he could simply have used saran wrap to make it shiny. If only he had thought of that ....

Andy's favorite gift.. little busy balls from Gramma.

Or, maybe it was his toes. It's really a toss up.

Suzy's favorite gifts were plentiful. She loved all the Hello Kitty items from Grammy and Popop as well as all the candy from Santa. She also is continuing to obsess with her little make up kit. More on that later...

Gramma got Suzy a guitar like Andrew's up in Indiana.

Daddy got an amp for his guitar and Grammy and Popop got Daddy some money for guitar lessens. I can' wait! What fun this will be for the kids as they get older, and even now.

My biggest gift? I hope it's one you will enjoy as well. Since Grammy and Popop gave us some Christmas cash, Rob and I decided to enrich ourselves. He's taking guitar lessens, and I'm taking a photography class! Yes, that's right. My husband is so awesome that he has agreed to watch the kids every Saturday from 8-noon from Jan-May so that I can actually learn how to use my camera. So, here's to hoping I learn some new things and you get to enjoy them on the blog! It will also come in handy for my Christmas gifts this year - a digital photo frame and ornament. :) I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas with your families as well
