$15 Blog Post

I updated my Facebook status, so this may be a repeat for some of you. Just to let the others know, I think my last post was... say Christmas on Facebook. I was that stinkin' irritated. ;) To repeat myself.... It's my birthday. Since my 30th birthday, I've had pretty crummy birthdays. Last year, my sweet small group decided to help me "break the curse". I had a fabulous 34th birthday, thanks to my dear friends. I knew we would be traveling to Scotland today, so Rob and I pretended yesterday was my birthday. I had High Tea at Herrods. It was lovely. You will see photos soon... Today, we had a three hour train ride from London to Edinburgh. The train was supposed to have wi-fi. Turns out, our train was only opperating on 1/2 power. So, not only did it take twice as long, the wi-fi kept popping in and out as well. Now, wi-fi here is expensive. Like $10 for 90 minutes expensive. I was determined to find a cafe or something. The first place we went was a bar. I ordered a hot cocoa since we had already eaten a meal. Their wi-fi kept cutting in and out as well. Not only did I spill my cocoa all over Rob, we had to keep looking. We stooped to try Burger King. I'm stuffed at this point, so Rob orders an ice cream. Sweet fella. I'm all excited as I anxiously log onto the Burger King "family safe" wi-fi. I'm a bit disgruntled that the LAST category on the demographics portion is 35+ years old. A little not so subtle reminder that, yes, I now have to check a new box. But did it REALLY have to be the LAST one? As if people 45+ don't use wi-fi???? Anyhow, I grumbled only minimally due to the anticipation of the posts to come... Until I discover that my blog has been censored! What? Crazy. And yet, I could get on my Facebook account. Go figure. So, alas, I came back to the hotel and my birthday gifts continue. Rob has paid the crazy cash for me to have my wi-fi. He loves me. :) I also want to give another public thank you to Diana, Gwyneth, and Ashley for my other big Birthday gift - the chance to re-connect with my sweet hubby on this big five year anniversary trip in the UK. Thank you all for such blessing for my @#$! 35th Birthday. ;)
